ARTIST STATEMENT

"Colors and the way light reveals them to me are what catch my attention. I like to see them in the things and places that surround me. So, that is what I paint. My still lifes are of every day objects but, perhaps assembled a little differently than expected. My landscapes are meant to catch an almost remembered location, recorded in a painting. In all my paintings, it is finding the colors and the lights on them that bring me to my easel and to my joy."
