ARTIST STATEMENT

"I believe in being the continual learner in life. I love the challenge of expanding my abilities, developing new concepts and being all that I can be in the expression of life.

My artwork for years has retained the imagery of fabric whether it is in painting, collage, sculpture or metal. Weaving is symbolic of our human existence in our daily lives, in our interaction with others and the world around us. I love exploring all possibilities as we grow and expand our existence in the fabric of life."

ART PROJECTS

"Metal Fusions"
Weavings in copper, aluminum, and sculptural creations. Exploration of metal, glass and inner imagery. For the past 3 years I have been exploring the world of wholesale art. It has pushed me into an area in which I would never have expected to excel -- metal.

"Fabric of Life" and "Tapestries of Life"
Love of painting, sculpture, collage, sewing and expressive arts are brought together in these two series. Unique imagery is developed by collaging a variety of materials layered together with oil paint.

"Talking Walls"
A pet project with interactive hand friendly 3D paintings installed with light/or touch sensors which emit musical tones or voices with the intent of providing for all people, including blind and handicapped, an experience in the creative process of making music. This installation has been shown in museums and galleries in the NW.
