ARTIST STATEMENT

"Paintings from the Edge"

Drawing inspiration from the earth, my work explores the edge, places where earth meets water, water meets sky, transition points that flow comfortably from the real to the abstract.

My abstracted landscapes feature gentle free-flowing layers of color with graceful calligraphic lines, crisp detail combined with dreamy backgrounds, drawing you over the edge with me, to move from the known into depths and texture that fire the imagination and beg you, the viewer, to explore further.

I love to create powerful larger-than-life images; most landscapes are oversized large format acrylic on panel.
