ARTIST STATEMENT

""I love how light moves over and through glass and other objects, enhancing a myriad of colors, values and textures that sharpen our senses."

ARTIST BACKGROUND

Lively colors and vivid details are the signature qualities of Sally's still life work. Fresh, clear, uplifting colors enhance an abundance of details, textures and reflections.

With interest in art and design at a very early age, Sally honed her artistic skills early. But it wasn't until late in life that she returned to college to receive her Bachelor of Fine art with honors, from the Art Institute of Southern California.

Moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1993, her professional illustration expertise varies widely from work for ad agencies, greeting card companies, commissioned portraits, limited edition prints and teaching art classes.

Her work has shown and won honors in numerous national and local shows including the prestigious Society of Illustrators National Juried Exhibition in New York City and the equally prestigious Illustrators West Exhibition in Los Angeles.
