We Will Be Accepting Applications for Membership in September
Deadline for submission of the WPW Membership Application is January 31, 2022
Eligibility for Membership
Applicant must be a woman artist of professional standing residing in the state of Washington, having exhibited in at least three shows in one or more of the following categories:
- A regional arts center or museum
- An established gallery
- The professional division of open juried exhibitions OR provide a history of commissioned work or inclusion in Corporate or Public art collections
The three qualifying shows and/or commissions must have taken place within the last five years, and recent activities must show evidence of professional growth. Work will not be considered if done under and/or critiqued by an instructor. Acceptable mediums for eligibility are: paints of all kinds, pastels, colored pencil, charcoal, ink, etchings, mono-types, hand pulled prints, encaustic, collage.

The New Membership Committee will carefully consider your qualifications and the quality and cohesiveness of your work to determine if your application meets the standards outlined in our By-Laws
The New Membership Committee is composed of nine – eleven WPW artist members who individually represent a variety of mediums in their own work, collectively reflective of the artistic diversity within our organization. The committee will study your application, resume, 5 digital images, and website to get a complete picture of you as a professional working artist and will make the final choices regarding membership.
The work of accepted new members will be presented to the membership in April.
